Macular degeneration (AMD) is the leading cause of severe vision loss in seniors.
You use the center of your retina, called the macula, to focus on things, read and drive. As you get older, Macular Degeneration (AMD) can cause blurriness and visual distortion, affecting how you see words and lines. AMD can often be prevented through use of nutritional supplements.
Macular Degeneration comes in a couple forms so we will work with you to determine the best treatment options based on your consultation.

First we’re here to listen. Then we’ll make a recommendation for treatment or provide a referral to help you manage your Macular Degeneration symptoms and determine if you have Dry or Wet AMD.
The more common form of AMD, where the retinal tissues of the macula slowly become thin and lead to very gradual vision loss. We work with you to evaluate and monitor progression.
The more severe form of AMD, where new, fragile blood vessels form underneath the retina, dramatically blur central vision and potentially cause more severe vision loss. For patients experiencing Wet Macular Degeneration, we’ll refer you to a specialist for injections or laser treatments.
