A cataract is a clouding of the natural lens found inside the eye.
From light halos to color dullness, undetected cataracts can often affect the way we see light, color and life in general. Often the symptoms go undetected or are thought of as an unavoidable part of the aging process. But cataracts can also develop due to trauma, exposure to ultraviolet radiation or the use of certain medications.
Treatments for cataracts can vary, so we'll work together to identify what's most ideal, and what will help you see better.
We're always committed to treating your eyes to the latest in premium lenses.
The cutting-edge technology we have onsite allows us to test, diagnose, and treat all in one convenient location so you don't have to make appointments at different locations.
Our co-managed care model works closely with your eye doctor to develop a personalized vision plan and provide you with the most advanced treatment and high-quality eye health care.
When treating your cataract, there are options available. The right treatment plan will be customized based on the results of your consultation and these treatment options.
Whether you’re far or nearsighted or somewhere in between, we replace your cataract with a premium, customized intraocular lens (IOL) that specifically works for you. Once the new lens is inserted, you may not need to depend on your glasses or contact lenses to see what your future holds. We’ll work together to get you seeing better and develop a treatment plan that fits your lifestyle, and can even correct your astigmatism.
Our Standard Monofocal Intraocular Lens provides clear vision at a single fixed focus, and is usually used to correct distance vision. Patients with this type of IOL may still require glasses for the correction of their near vision, intermediate vision, or in many instances both.
These lenses provide excellent distance vision and functional vision for close up tasks, so the patient should be less dependent on glasses. Some patients even become completely glasses-free!
These more advanced lenses can correct a large range of astigmatism and provide superior distance vision.
This alternate provides a lower-risk, innovative approach by using blade-free Femtosecond Laser technology to treat your cataracts with increased precision. The Femtosecond laser allows our cataracts team to treat even small amounts of astigmatism with unparalleled accuracy. The procedure is gentler on your eyes, resulting in less discomfort, reduced inflammation, faster recovery times and less of a need for glasses. We make surgery easy for you and get you back on a path to better sight as quickly as possible.
Known as “no-stitch” surgery, this microincision cataract surgery does not require the use of sutures. It ensures more rapid recovery with less discomfort during and after surgery. You’ll feel better faster and see better than you saw before.
